In addition to having its own local delights, Caterham is the ideal town for workers who intend to commute to London. With home to only 21,000 people, the town is quiet and less stressful than the metropolis. Trains run regularly from Caterham to King’s Cross, with a journey that only lasts 50 minutes. There are also eight bus routes that connect to Croydon, East Grinstead and Oxted with connecting buses directly to London.

Those intending to start a family here will have their children’s schooling needs catered to with Caterham School and Oakhyrst Grange, and De Stafford School is a mixed secondary school located in the geographic centre of the town.
