UK property owners want their property to reflect personality

UK property owners want their property to reflect their personality as well as be a place to entertain guests, it has been claimed.

According to the Fun on the Floor campaign, an initiative designed to promote the benefits of carpeted floors, more people wanted to make sure their property provided an environment for a family to relax in.

Interior designer Danielle Proud said that people thinking of selling their home should make sure that it looks cost to prospective buyers.

"The market is such that nowadays everything will stay there for a while with people staying put so they are wanting to make a place that is really comfortable and lovely for the family to hang out in," she said.

Fun on the Floor research carried out by Opinion Matters and Tickbox.net revealed that 81 per cent of people wanted their home to feel cosy and comfortable, while 31 per cent said they expected to have their homes decorated before Christmas.
