Isla Margarita is 'the place for buyers at the moment'
Those investors looking to buy property in the Caribbean should consider Isla Margarita, which is situated off Venezuela's northern coast.
That is according to Simon Walker, sales director for Off Plan International, who asserted that the island is "the place for buyers at the moment".
He said that the location was his "personal tip" with regards to Caribbean islands, adding that buyers should not be discouraged by Venezuela's political situation as the island is considered a "safe haven" from these issues.
Mr Walker commented: "There's no unrest or anything like that there. Obviously it is part of Venezuela, but the political issues [and] unrest
don't affect it, it's far enough away [from the mainland]. It's mainly seen as the Caribbean rather than part of Venezuela."
He also noted that those buying property on Isla Margarita would stand to benefit from the fact that it is a dollar market.
