Croatia 'is no longer an emerging property market'
Croatia represents an attractive location for property investors who also wish to utilise their purchase as a holiday home.
That is according to the director of Amberlamb, who asserted that the country's property market "certainly doesn't disappoint" this type of buyer, adding that in price terms Croatia could no longer be considered an emerging market.
Rhiannon Davies commented: "Foreign property buyers seeking so-called 'lifestyle homes abroad' are
attracted heavily to the coast in Croatia.
"These types of buyers are typically looking for a holiday home that doubles up as an investment, and they are lured to coastal living. Croatia certainly doesn't disappoint these buyers."
She went on to say that coastal properties in the country have experienced significant price increases due to a "surge" in demand.
The number of foreign and domestic tourists visiting Croatia rose by eight per cent between 2006 and 2007, according to the Croatian tourist board.
