Today, a fascinating contemporary residence caught my attention. The JKC1 House is one of those home that makes you wonder if the house you live in now is the one for you. After seeing the photos, you will better understand what I mean. Designed by Singapore-based architectural firm ONG&ONG, the single family home is perfect for its inhabitants.
Located in Bukit Timah, Singapore, the luxurious home displays a modern architecture that perfectly fits in with the surroundings – an expensive neighborhood displaying many exceptional homes. Resting on a slightly inclined plot, the modern house is not only a comfortable crib, but also a home constructed on the base of the feng-shui belief that the water and mountain elements should be balanced. The large dining and living areas on the first floor are bright and cheery, while the kitchen and garage are set in the back part. This way, the entertaining and living areas can benefit from unobstructed views of the garden and pool. An open courtyard above the kitchen can be reached via a staircase in the center of the first floor. The second floor is occupied by a family room, flanked on one side by the master bedroom with walk-in closet and bathroom and the children’s bedrooms and playroom occupy on the other side. Enjoy the photos!
