Well, everyone has dreams and fantasies. People indulging in fantasies never have control over the outcome of it. I would say Winning in lottery is a fantasy. On the other hand, there are people who can plan their dream to take shape in reality through owning a car, a mansion or maybe even Islands!!!! Yeah true, a home without neighbours sounds excellent. But still for many it’s just a dream. Or maybe not for those lucky ones right from football players to celebrities, whom the Island-buying trend is catching up quicker than expected.
Let us see few of the private island-based houses which prove the fact that every dream is attainable and not that difficult to attain it. I would say these are the amazing places worth visiting once in your life time.

1. Dunbar Rock, Honduras

Visiting Honduras without stepping into Guanaja’s Bay Island means you have missed a fantastic opportunity of seeing nature at its scenic best. Of all, the Jewel of Carribean is a Villa perched atop a private cay is the “Dunbar Rock”, an undoubtedly stupefying property sitting serenely 40 miles away from the shore. It has 6 romantic bedrooms offering magnificent views of Dolphins from sunrise to sunset, Scuba diving and Fishing experiences to delight all of us right of the dock. And there’s good news for getting your dream come true- The property is for sale at US $1,700,000.
2. Unknown Property, Les Cheneaux Islands
Les Cheneaux in French means “The Channels”. These islands are the untrumpeted treasure of the eastern Upper Peninsula with 36 rocky islands along 12 miles of shore. The island shown in the picture above is a perch for a single fantastic house found floating without much terrestrial support to the east of Marquette Island. Adding to the beauty of the property is its watch house which offers a splendid view from the top. The property has attracted a lot of retirees and urban refugees in making their permanent homes and is priced at a premium.
3. Properties built on Las Isletas, Nicaragua

There are million dollar vacation homes sitting majestically on beautiful archipelagos of volcanic origin surrounded by lush vegetation, birds and flowers within the grandest rain-formed lake; Lake Nicaragua, a Kayaking paradise consisting of 365 such volcanic islands. It has also been observed an increase in the number of Isletas being occupied and homes built on them. The former picture is a home of a fisherman and the latter is La Gloria, a weekend residence at Lake Nicaragua.
4. Clingstone, Rhode Island

Sernely placed just off the coast of Newport, Rhode Island is a 103 year magnificent mansion built on a small rocky island offering total privacy with no neighbours around. The mansion was built in 1905 by J.S. Lovering Wharton, a distant cousin of Henry Wood, for a cost of $36000. Henry Wood bought it in 1961 for $3600 and managed to bring it back to life as a 21st century house after it had been abandoned for nearly two decades. This 10,000 square foot water bound mansion is a visual and sensual delight offering a 360-degree water view. Now thats pretty incredible, isn’t it??
5. Just Room Enough, 1000 Islands.
This is surely a marvellous and picturesque residence which tops the list of water bound private property. Well the picture above speaks more than my words. The home is found amongst the 1000 islands on the St. Lawrence River. The island is so tiny that furniture can be placed in the front yard only when the passing boat traffic is minimal.
